Hotel Restaurant Vettore opens its doors in 1947. At the time the entrance looked like the doors of a saloon.
For four generations, the Dori family has been running the hotel. All thanks to grandfather Vittorio ("Vettore"), who, once the war ended, realized that the village Oriago needed something new.
To be honest, grandfather Vittorio was not new to the craft, considering that a few years before he had opened a small Osteria in Valmarana, in Mira neighborhood, and afterwards he opened an inn near the theater of Oriago, where today there is the beautiful public library.
However that wasn't enough for him. According to those special years, grandfather Vettore had big dreams and plans so that he decided to move towards Oriago boundary and to build there the hotel near the famous brick capital, called "il Terminale", that, from 1375 to 1405, marked the boundary between the Republic of Venice and Padua.
In 1947 Hotel-Restaurant Vettore opened in Oriago. Afterwards the numerous children of Vittorio "Vettore" managed and enlarged the enterprise and now the management is undertaken by his grandchildren.
Here the customer feels at home, he is not considered as a number but as a name, a face and a voice.
The kitchen is the flagship, with some specialties such as the “gnocchi” (dumpling) and the “frittura” (fried fish), which hide recipes handed down from mother to daughter, insomuch that even close relatives (cousins or aunts) hadn't access to the cookbook of mother Ornella, infallible and meticulous cook and, above all, a guarantee for the palate.
In a nutshell, at Hotel-Restaurant Vettore quality is a tradition ..
